23rd Annual Spirit Kick-Off Classic
TOURNAMENT UPDATE

the following FLIGHTS (for Sunday, August 23rd):
U09 ALL FLIGHTS

U11 CHAMPIONSHIP FLIGHT ONLY
U12 CHAMPIONSHIP & ELITE FLIGHTS ONLY
U13 CHAMPIONSHIP & ELITE FLIGHTS ONLY
U14 CHAMPIONSHIP FLIGHT ONLY
Please note games will begin at 7am tomorrow.
All games will be 2x20 minute halves with a 5 minute
half time. All bracket play and consolation games can
end in a tie.
Any semi-final or final that is tied at the end of
regulation will go directly to "Kicks from the
Mark" (Penalty Kicks). Only the 11 players on the
field of play at the end of regulation may participate
in the Penalty Kicks.

The Volkswagen
Junior Masters tournament will be held
in conjunction with the Spirit United Kickoff Classic
U12 Boys Championship division. The Junior Master is
a U-13 International Youth Soccer Tournament hosted
by Volkswagen in 20+ countries around the globe. The
birthday of participants must be 01/01/1997 or later.
Top 2 teams advance to the US Finals to be held in Washington
D.C. on October 17—18, 2009. US Finals location
of fields is TBA.
The players of the winning US team, coach and chaperones
(18 slots total) travel to South Africa for the Junior
World Masters Finals, prior to the 2010 World Cup.

| This soccer
tournament is the largest in Pennsylvania. It attracts teams
from throughout the Northeast. Last year over 440 high caliber
teams participated, with teams coming from as far south as
Virginia, as far west as Ohio, as far north as Canada, and
all points in between! We hope your team is one this year.
The tournament, for girls and boys U-9 through U-16, occurs
over two weekends in August.
Boys Weekend: August 15-16, 2009
(including U-15 and U-16 Girls teams)
Girls Weekend: August 22-23, 2009
Application
deadline is
June 26, 2009.
The two weekend format gives each team competitive games
and a good work out in preparation for the fall travel season.
The outstanding play and sportsmanship that characterize outstanding
soccer will provide plenty of enjoyment for players and fans
alike. The Spirit United Soccer Club, one of the premier clubs
in Pennsylvania and the U.S., and the Spirit Kick-Off Classic
continue their rich tradition of promoting soccer excellence
and sportsmanship.

The Spirit United Soccer Club is located in the heart of
Chester County, Pennsylvania. All games will be played on
our complex of over 50 fields located in the Downingtown,
PA area, which is easily accessed by the PA Turnpike, U.S.
Route 202, and I-95. Many historical sites (Valley
Forge, Independence
Hall), cultural attractions (Longwood
Gardens, PA
Dutch Country) and entertainment venues (Hershey
Park) are within a one hour drive.
We hope you and your team accept our invitation to participate
